One thing I’ve been thinking about for a long time is a simple stainable diet. 

There is great value in tracking macros and calories. However, most people can’t or just don’t want to forever. But, and a huge big butt... you probably also want to be a bit leaner, healthier and feel good. 

This is where my new plan carb conscious comes in. No, it’s not low carb, it’s just building awareness around carbs. As they can have the biggest impact on energy and hunger. 

I think of carbs as a lever if I pull it down I’ll lose fat if I leave it in the middle I can maintain it, and if I push it up I can gain weight.

After looking at 1000s of food dairies of overweight people, I see the same thing, very low protein and lots of fat and lots of carbs. 

With one diet fix, we can sort out all these problems.

Popping a limit on carbs does a few things. 

✅If you are hungry eat some protein, your body needs it. If you have excess body fat you don’t need energy your need amino acids in protein for growth and repair. 

✅The next thing it does is it limits calories from carbs. But it also limits its best friend sneaky fat. 

✅Sneaky fat is fat that comes with foods we think of as carbs, cakes, cookies, crisps, and chocolate, these foods are 50-60% fat by total calories. 

✅The next thing it does is it makes you prioritise vegetables. 

✅The most underrated thing it does is it lets you eat whatever you want within your carb limit. This takes the pressure off ‘dieting’ 

As we are all familiar with this diet model 

Diet➡️feel deprived➡️over eat➡️beat yourself up➡️Diet ➡️feel deprived➡️over eat➡️beat your self up➡️ 🔁

Yes chuck in a cinnamon bun within your limit in there or whatever other treat you like can break the cycle.
